Covid Update: India logs 1272 new cases, 3 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi: 1272 new cases of corona have been reported in the country, with 3 deaths in the last 24 hours. Earlier on Saturday, 223 new cases of corona were reported in the country, while 11 people died. In this way, a decline of 49 has been registered in the new daily case of Corona in the last 24 hours.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health this morning (May 13, 2023), 1272 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, with 3 deaths. At the same time, 2,252 people in the country were successful in defeating the coronavirus infection, i.e., becoming healthy. With this, the number of active cases of coronavirus in the country has come down from 16,498 to 15,515. In this way, a decrease of 983 has been registered in the number of active cases in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of Corona infections in the country has increased to 4 crore, 49 lakh, 80 thousand, and 674. While the number of people getting cured has increased to 4 crore, 44 lakh, 33 thousand, and 389. At the same time, a total of 5 lakh, 31 thousand, 770 people have died due to coronavirus infections in the country.

According to the information given by the Union Health Ministry, the daily positive rate is currently 1.02 percent, and the weekly positive rate is 1.20 percent. Now the recovery rate in the country has increased to 98.78 percent. While the death rate remains at 1.18 percent. At the same time, active cases comprise 0.03 percent of the total infections. According to the information available on the Ministry’s website, about 220.66 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
