The Ladli Laxmi Yojana has enabled poor parents to free themselves from the worry of their daughters' marriage, and daughters have gained respect in society. The newly launched Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana will further empower sisters and strengthen their lives. Under the scheme, Rs 1000 per month will be deposited in the accounts of 1.25 crore sisters of the state, starting from June.
Women Reservation and Education Schemes allowed them to create a distinct identity
Chief Minister Chouhan highlighted the 50% reservation for women in local body elections and the provision of 50% reservation for women in teacher recruitment and 30% in police recruitment. The state government is also paying the full fees of medical, engineering, and IIM students from poor families. Mama coaching classes are also being conducted in Budhni for the preparation of government job exams.
Agricultural Development Schemes
The Chief Minister noted that the state government has implemented various schemes for agricultural development and farmers' welfare. These schemes have increased farmers' income and improved their standard of living. The availability of irrigation facilities has enabled farmers to cultivate crops throughout the year. The state government will purchase moong from farmers this year as well, and the registration process for farmers' sale of moong should be done smoothly to prevent middlemen and traders from exploiting farmers.
Development Works in Jontala created a distinct identity of woman of the village
The Chief Minister performed bhoomi-pujan for the construction of 10 roads, a boundary wall, and a welcome gate, costing Rs 41 crore 16 lakh, in Jontala. He also performed bhoomi-pujan for the construction of various roads in the area, worth Rs 31 crore 89 lakh. These roads include the Jontala-Khandawar-Sultan Nagar road, Amon Basgahan Road to Gadar PMGSY Road, Machwai to Gondakheda road, Khabada to Khoha road, Isharpur M-5 to Hoda Canal road, Murari to Hoda Marg, and Siyaghan to Kosmi Marg.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to conduct a survey of the damages caused by hailstorms in Basgahan. He also announced plans to build a community hall and gymnasium and beautify the pond in Jontala.
