New Delhi: Khaps and farmers who are supporting protesting wrestlers asked the centre to arrest Wrestling Federation Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh before June 9 otherwise they will sit at Jantar Mantar.
The farmers said if the government would not allow to sit us at Jantar Mantar then we will start ‘Andolan’.
“Central govt has time till June 9. We will not compromise on anything less than the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. If this does not happen, we will go to Jantar Mantar on June 9 and hold panchayats across the nation. Cases against wrestlers should be withdrawn and the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh must happen,” said Kisan leader Rakesh Tikait.
Earlier on Thursday, after the maha panchayat in UP’s Muzzafarnagar Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait Said the final call on the matter of wrestlers’ protest will be taken at a meeting in Haryana in Haryana tomorrow.
The farmers and the khaps of Haryana have been extending their support to wrestlers which is why the strategy will be made after meeting with them, said Tikait
He said, “We will leave no stone unturned and will go to the president if needed, we are with you and, you don’t have to worry.”
Taking on the Union government and BJP, Rakesh Tikait mentioned how they tried to break Lalu Yadav’s and Mulayam’s family.
“We all need to understand what the union government is doing. They broke Lalu Yadav’s family in Bihar. see what they have done with Mulayam Singh Yadav’s family. the same kind of thing happening in Rajasthan too,” told Rakesh Tikait to farmers attending the meeting.
