IMD Predicts Heavy Rain Across India; Weather Alerts for Multiple States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings of heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions across several Indian states. The forecast is attributed to a depression situated over northwest India and the west-central Bay of Bengal, leading to the following developments:

Alerts Across Multiple States: IMD alerts have been issued for various states, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Telangana, Assam, and more. These alerts are in response to the anticipated heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and weather disturbances.

Waterlogging in Uttar Pradesh: Due to heavy rains, waterlogging incidents have been reported in Tajpur and Sehal villages of Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. The region experienced substantial precipitation as a result of the prevailing weather conditions.

Depressions and Rainfall: The depression situated over northwest India and west-central Bay of Bengal is responsible for triggering very heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and related weather phenomena in many parts of the country.
